Everyone loves local history!! I’ll be posting things here from time to time that I find when I am doing research for my listings. I would love to hear from you if you have photos of the town or photos of old homes in and around Westport. Hopefully itn’s the not stuff you already know, but unual stuff like the fact that Westport had Wharves (docks) on the Saugatuck River just south of Gorham Island. There were at least two possibly three. Large sloops were once docked there and went regularly To and from Boston and New York.
