Good architecture is art. A few architects designing today will be studied in the art history books of the future. As lifestyles evolve, with a greater emphasis on the environment and the need to operate in a technologically sophisicated world, a good architect can be the key to a great quality of life in Fairfield County.
Incorporating good design to accommodate the needs of today's ever changing family, is key. Living in a piece of art is one of life's great joys. There are properties available today that were designed by these talented individuals and firms.
If I can't find a property that is already built to suit your needs and standards, I would be happy put you in touch with an architect and/or custom builder who can build or modify a home for you.

Living in Great Design.
The Harvard Five, Marcel Breuer, Landis Gores, John Johansen, Philip Johnson, Eliot Noyes were all mid century modern architects who al designed in New Canaan. They were all students of Walter Gropius at Harvard who founded the Bauhaus school in Germany. There are a few Bauhaus designs in Fairfield County and several have been knocked down. At one time, the townspeople were not thrilled to have the Harvard Five's mid centruty modern houses and their designers drawing so much attention (and traffic) to the town, But as time went on, New Canaanites saw the architectural and historic significance of the homes. Most are still standing and most have been renovated.
